Before you leave home

American 2073, nonstop from SDF to Miami. Give yourselves extra time at the airport for an early-morning departure, especially if you’re checking a bag.
8:34 AM

Late morning
Your room won’t be ready until 4:00 PM, so ask the front desk whether they can hold your luggage. Then change into beach clothes and go explore.
Midday
Grab a casual bite at LandShark Bar & Grill on the oceanfront deck, then find a spot on the sand or wander the Broadwalk.
4:00 PM
Settle into your king room and freshen up. The minimum check-in age is 21, and the resort will ask for a card for the deposit and incidentals.
Sunset
Head to 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill on the Intracoastal side of the resort for its daily sunset ritual. Mid-October sunsets are around 7:00 PM.
